Good News! Premium Features of Google Meet Are Available for Free for Everyone

[su_dropcap style=”flat”]G[/su_dropcap]oogle Meet’s premium features are now free to all G Suite and G Suite for Education customers until Sept. 30. The search giant said it’s extending the offer, which was originally set to end on July 1, to support people working and learning from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

 

Google made it available to customers of G Suite and G Suite for Education in the month of March, and now they are expanding this to all companies, organizations, institutions and educators.

According to some reports, the latest Google Meet’s Premium Features can host larger groups. Up to 250 participants per call can be added, and it can also do Live streaming for up to 100,000 viewers within a domain.

In addition to this, Google Meet’s Premium feature also includes the option to record meetings which are held and then can be saved to Google Drive.

“Over the past several weeks, we’ve seen Google Meet — G Suite’s video conferencing solution — help millions of people stay connected, and more than 2 million new users are connecting on Google Meet every day, and they’re spending over 2 billion minutes together,” Google said in a statement.

Google Meet has seen a surge in usage fueled by lockdowns due to the coronavirus. Which is why Google is extending the availability of advanced Google Meet video-conferencing capabilities to all G Suite users.
